The 22nd Ordinary Session of the African Union held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from the 21st – 31st 2014. President Mahama, together with other Heads of State and Government, launched ‘2014’ as the Year of Agriculture and Food Security, as part of the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP).
The EC has identified negotiations capacity gaps and is supporting the governments through the Ministry of Trade and Industry to develop skills in that area. This was disclosed to the members of the steering committee of the Edulink/ CAGRIC project by Christian Peters, Head of Economics and Trade, EC Delegation, Accra Ghana.
